A co-worker once made a beautiful diaper cake for our boss at work. I had never even seen one before then and was fascinated by it. She shared her secrets with me, so I tried my hand at creating one. Here are my first attempts:
I created my own poem for the cake based on what I had bought to attach to it. The poem is what gets them every time.
A cute simple cake we’ve made just for you.
What’s inside? I’ll give you a clue.
42 diapers make up this cake.
A bib to prevent messes she’ll make.
Cute little outfit for Olive to wear
And tiny little bows to put in her hair.
Lotion and bottles for Olive to feed
And 2 little pacifiers if ever the need.
A bonus for your bundle of joy,
A cute rubber ducky baby bath toy.
A pink sun hat to protect little eyes
And now the cake is just the right size.
So we present it to you to help you prepare,
This cake that was made with tender loving care.
