In my recent return to crochet, I found out about something called Amigurumi. Basically, making animals (usually tiny ones) out of crochet. I’m not sure if a sock monkey counts as Amigurumi, but this was my first stuffed animal made from crochet. I combed youtube for the best way to make one. I had to watch the videos probably 45 times per part, but I finally was able to get a finished product.
I made this for a dear friend of mine to bring to her hospital bed as she had her first baby girl. It looked a little scary in person, but not bad for a first attempt.
